@Jennifer

Yes, overpriced which is why I never really went in there but I'm a sucker for all things girly and vintage. :)

Cute! Reminds me of Anthropologie.

Jennifer, you never really went in there but you know it's over priced? Interesting.
Isn't over priced just another word for things you can't afford? :)

@Hop Along

I think you are confused.

"I" never really went in there because it's torture to look at things I can't buy. It's too dear.

Do keep up!

P.S. I hope you got me something good! You make more money than the Beatles anyway. :P

Hop Along: I never really went in there?!? Eh?!!

I was on placement at BBCNI for two weeks and went into Avoca at least three times!

Also, in my world, overpriced means I could afford to buy a couple things from there but the prices are totally unjustifiable! $300 (150pounds) for a sweater??? Come on, Avoca!

In defense of Avoca...

I can understand why their sweaters are at that price range since they are handwoven at Avoca. It's a product unique to Ireland you can't get anywhere else. Not mass produced in some sweatshop in Thailand. I'm assuming the labor is intensive.

Also the material can jack up the price sky high especially if it's cashmere. Most of the products I've seen there are quality and, for a boutique store, those prices are not atypical. C'est la vie.

When you translate GBP into $$$ it's always overpriced anyway. Have you compared the Gap prices in North America to UK? It's ridiculous! They don't call the UK ripoff central for nothing. :)
